The goal at the kids school is to read a at least a hundred hours. So each quarter they have assemblies and the goal is to get 25 hours the first, 50 hours the second and so on.
Katelynn is at 30hours of reading, so she received the 25 hour medal and folder.

And Aiden has read 20 hours, since he is in kindergarten they have smaller milestones. He got a certificate and when he reaches 25 he will get a medal.
I really have liked the program. In all the class rooms they have boards that watch where each kid is, it is great motivation for the kids. I never have to say its time to read anymore. Katelynn having my blood in her is always reading(Gary is the reader I am the competitive one). And Aiden is always shoving a book in someone face to read it to him. He does not like to set still while we are reading it to him, but he sure does what the time! :)
