After potty training Maylee, we thought only one more child and then sweet sailing from here! Then came TRAINING WHEELS!! I know we are behind in this but finally we took the training wheels off Katelynn's bike. She is really trying, but really I think we waited long enough or maybe to long. Can't she be the first missionary to serve with Training wheels?? All my kids could be known world wide has the FAITHFUL missionaries still on training wheels!! I really think it would work out!??
- She can't quite start on her own she wants to jump on the bike all at the same time. She does understand how to kick herself off.
- She can't turn she is afraid she will fall so she just goes straight. Then jumps off the bike when it is time to turn.
- Again scared she is going to fall so she constantly jumps off the bike!
Really she does try and she really wants to do it. It is her parents fault we waited way to long. I told Aiden he was next. He said, "Maybe when I'm ten."
To cute, but dont blame yourself on the bike thing. Some kids just comes natural and some kids it doesnt, but once she learns how she wont forget.
ReplyDeleteAww don't worry about the bike riding. Zach is 7.5 and he can't even ride his bike with training wheels. We got one that was a little to big, so we wouldn't have to buy another one, next year. But he's bike was stolen a couple of weeks ago, and I don't know if I want to buy him another one or not. He wasn't very intersted in riding in the first place. But Katelynn will do fine. She's a great kid.
