We are in trouble!

This little boy is full of energy!  He is always in the middle of everything!

He falls or something falls on him at least once a day!  This picture he used a stool to standup it feel right on him.  Poor little boy.

Reading Week

We are ending reading week today!  The kids were supposed to dress up had they had different activities and readers throughout the week.

M-Red/white & Blue which I have to say both kids participated in!

T-  Where words on your shirt again both kids participated in! 
W- was a crazy day PJ day.  Katelynn went for it, Aiden on the other hand was not having it!  I was able to go help out in Aiden's class.  I am taking turns with a friend so I can go help out once a week for a few hours.  I am loving it!  Wednesday the kids had a book swap which I think total we swapped about 30 books.  So we got 30 new to us books, the kids have enjoyed them.
Th-  dress in a different decade.  Katelynn kind of did it, she wore a 70ish shirt.  100book challenge Reading Award assembly, and Katelynn was in a little play at her school.  She was the narrator! 
F- Be a vocabulary word!

Aiden for some reason accidentally received the 25hour award again.  He should have got the 50hour but Oh Well next award assembly he will get it along with 75 hour award.

Awards, Awards, Awards

I have been slacking on writing about my kids awards and assemblies. Which is not really good of me! Gary and I expect a lot of our children when it comes to their education and luckily our kids expect a lot of themselves. I really am just so proud of them. Its just awkward to blog about it because I don't want be un humble. But since this is our family journal I want my kids to know how important their education is to us. And we are proud of them!

So for little Aiden I am not sure if I wrote about he received a certificate for reading and this last assembly he received his first medal for reading! He was so excited to have a medal like Katelynn! Then on March 9th he received the academic award at the outside assembly they hold every month. Every month they give out 2 awards per class one for academic and one for Citizenship. And Katelynn had already got both. And finally Aiden got the academic one and we were out of town! Then just a few weeks ago which picture is below he got award at a regular assembly for his academics.

Now for Katelynn! She received in this school year for the outside assemblies she received both awards academic and citizenship.(You can only receive the awards once.) She received 4 medals for her reading. And just last week got a certificate for the A Honor Role.

After all the awards and report cards were in. I took them to McDonalds to get kid's meals. And then on Friday we went to Krispie Cream. For every A you have they give you a free donut!! Isn't that just awesome? So Katelynn got 6 and since Aiden doesn't get grades I leaned over the glass and whispered to the guy give him 6 and I will pay. They were really cool about it! I feel I am caught up on awards now.

The Beach!

Just because we were not tired enough on Saturday we headed back to the hotel and got ready for the beach! We parked and then hiked up the beach to find the perfect spot. Which I must say was not the most relaxing part. Hiking with a 20pound baby, all the beach equipment, 2 camping chairs, buckets and very excited kids!! We finally made it and we LOVED it!! So nice and relaxing the water was like Ice, the kids could care less, Aiden and Katelynn lived in it! So fun. We buried Aiden in the sand and made sand castles. Such a fun time. Sometime this summer we are going to try to make a quick trip up and just to lay around the beach!

At the end of it we decided we would just hike up the sand and to the first parking lot we ran into and Gary would leave all the stuff with me while he ran and got the car! Worked for me, but the kids and I waited and waited and oh yes waited. And then here came Gary walking... A crash happen right behind our car. At least not our car. So I got my wish and got to watch the sunset at the beach. Which really was just perfect. We all hiked back to the car and the cops were just leaving. Got back to the hotel and all showered and luckily our hotel and a laundry room. So no sand had to come home! :)

We headed home on Sunday from a well needed break!

LA ZOO!

Saturday we went to the LA Zoo. Not sure if that is the greatest idea after walking all day at Disneyland. All of our feet hurt so badly from the day before. And so many hills.. But we still had fun. We had to find the Giraffes Katelynn's favorite animal! Maylee walked around and would say which one was us. For instance the
Pink flamingos, "Mommy!"
Monkeys, "Maylee!"
Giraffe, "DADDY!"

They also had a little petting zoo for the kids.

As you can see we were all in shorts the weather all weekend was perfect in the 80s all weekend long!

A Get Away!

A few weeks ago we were able to a make a trip to California! We left Thursday when Gary got home from work, drove up to LA. We got a new GPS a few weeks before the trip. It was a lot different then our other one. To say the least we wanted to throw it out the window until we finally figured it out and made it to our hotel. It did not actually say the street you were supposed to turn on, you had to read it on the screen. And then it would say stay to the left. Then all of sudden turn right in 40 yards. Six lanes of traffic that is really not possible! We decided it was better to have Gary drive and me read the GPS.

Our hotel we got off hotwire, it was really nice, when you walked in there was a deep hallway into the bathroom. It fit the playpen perfectly! We also had complementary breakfast.

Friday we woke up, Gary headed out to get the tickets. And I took all the kids to breakfast. We only have 4 kids but man are people amazed when I go anywhere. 4?? Are they all yours?? Always a blast! We finally made it into Disneyland and had a blast. Aiden is a huge fan of Star Wars so while Gary took Katelynn and Aiden to ride Star Tours, I went and got good spots for the Jedi show. They pick some kids to come up and train them to be Jedi's and then they get to fight Darth Vader or Darth Maul(sp.)

Katleynn got picked right away, I was stressing but last but not least we hear."BOY in the blue shirt!" YEAH!! That was Aiden! I took a deep breath and really did not care what happen the rest of the day!

I know not tons of pictures of our fun day in Disneyland. 4 kids+ a million rides+ a million people=not a lot time for pictures! We did have a great time, not to crazy I think we hit before most spring breaks. We know it was BYU spring break because I think there may have been more BYU shirts then Mickey shirts! :)

Where to start??

Where to start?? My Maylee turned 3 years old on March 9th! She is getting so old, I love this girl. We have not had a birthday party for Maylee yet the poor child had to spend her birthday in Disneyland. :P In a few weeks we will have a small combined party for her and Aiden! I can't believe Maylee is already 3, it has gone by way to fast. I have already signed her up for fall semester to start attending preschool. Crazy how fast time is flying.

She is such a silly girl. For her birthday her Grandma and Grandpa Maynor got her a gift card. We went to the store and she was on the hunt for, "A doll that poops like me!" We finally found this doll she was so excited talking about. Then we turned the corner and she saw the playdough. And she said,"Playdough! Aiden, and Katelynn can play too!" She chose her playdough for everyone! Such a sweet girl.

A little about Maylee

-Maylee weighs a whopping 24 pounds (Dallin will have within a few months I'm sure of it)
-She is a Girly Girl one min the next min fighting Darth Vadar
-She is not a fan of strangers. We got out of the car today, "Hurry Mom the bad guys are coming." We have had a little work done on the house lately, when they come Maylee runs in the playroom grabs the light saber and pokes her head out waiting to attack!
-She loves Barbies and Princess
-Eating wise French Fries, chipies, and apple slices that is about her diet. With the occasional chicken nugget.
-She is my water drinker. Always drinking water all day long.
- Such a fun little attitude
- She "can't" clean!
- My glasses she calles my goggles and today in the car she told me "pedal faster like this Mom!" she had hand going like you would pedal a bike.
-Beyond silly!
-She loves her friends and her siblings friends also!
-Also loves Nursery.

We love our Maylee and are so grateful for our spunky little girl!
